         Heat from the sun can be captured and used as a form of solar energy. In order for this process to take place, some form of solar technology must be used.

There are two types of solartechnology: passive and active solar. These types of solar technology differ in the way in which solar energy is captured.

💥 Steps to Apply for Solar Rooftop

Step :- 1

👉 Select your State 

👉 Select your Electricity Distribution Company

👉 Enter your Electricity Consumer Number

👉 Enter Mobile Number

👉 Enter Email

👉 Please follow as per the direction from the portal

Stepe :- 2

👉 Login with Consumer Number and Mobile Number

👉 Apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the from

Stepe :- 3 

👉 Wait for the Feasibility approval from Discom. One you get the feasibility Approval Install the plant by any of the registered  vendors in your Discom.

Stepe :- 4 

👉 Once installation is over, submit the plant details and Apply for net meter.

Stepe :- 5 

👉 After installation of net meter and inspection by Discom , they will generate commissioning  certificate from portal.

Stepe :- 6 

👉 Once you got the commissioning report submit bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. Subsidy will come your account within 30 working days.

💥 Charanaka Solar Park

        We started with a trip to the gujarat government's solar park at Charanaka village in Patan district some 350 kms from Gandhinagar. Air conditioned Volvo buses had been arranged for the purpose.What was really interesting to note was that all though the journey I could only see barren lands & wild vegetation along the roads i.e. there wasn't a lot of population on the way.

Passive solar energy does not require anymachinery because solar energy is used directly.

With active solar energy, a device is needed that collects solar energy so that it may be pumped into an area.
↪ Since the 1950s, the space shuttle has  used solar energy to power it's space craft.
↪ It takes less than 10 minutes for the light from the Sun to reach Earth.
